HOWARD ELSTON reports on the UK’s government’s latest tactic to help the economy

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has told the heir to the throne to save money and grab a seat on the next controversial refugee flight to Rwanda. The first has been cancelled but other deportation trips are expected soon.

Charles is set to travel to the African nation this week for a sitdown with Commonwealth leaders. He has privately described the deportation scheme as ’appalling’.

But Boris said today: ’The initial invitation to leave Britain will go ahead soon. And we might be able to find a vacant seat for the our prince.’

‘It will will save oodles of dosh by not taking a private flight to Rwanda for a royal visit. Instead he can hitch a ride on my Refugee Express.’

‘The money saved will be used to improve the health service, build new schools, improve the weather and lower fuel prices where petrol is close to £2 per litre ($9.20 per US gallon).’

delighted…

A spokes-thing for Charles said: ‘The prince would be delighted to sit next to a group of forsaken dispossessed migrants who have lived in substandard conditions in a UK camp for years and now will be shoved on a plane for a 4000 one way mile trip to Rwanda where 12 refugees were gunned down in 2018 during protests.’

A buoyantly resolute Mr Johnson added: ‘The heir to the throne will be offered- free of charge- onboard sugary drinks, a choice of cold ham sandwichs, a seatbelt, a window seat and a chance to win a zillion dollars in Rwandan francs as part of the airline’s Mile High Bonanza Bingo Lottery.’

‘Plus, we will waive excess baggage in case he does a bit of tourist shopping.’

‘Who could refuse that offer?’ asked the Prime Minister. ‘It’s a ride fit for a king!’

Golly, Howard, this prince is a peach, isn’t he? And how about Boris stepping up with this great idea even while dancing in place, ever thoughtful he is to save a bit from the coffers.

But would our noble Prince be given a one-way ticket, like all the others?
    Now there’s a thought!
